[These regulations were made under sections 13 and 189 of the Customs Management Decree 1980 and continued under section 272(1) of the Customs Management Act, 2011 (Act 22 of 2011)][SI 20 of 1969; 49 of 1971; 131 of 1978; 72 of 1984][Note: The administering authorities in Seychelles take the view that these regulations are no longer in force. Caution is advised accordingly.]


1. Citation

These regulations may be cited as the Customs Management Regulations.

2. Overtime charges

The rates prescribed for the purposes of section 13 of the Customs Management Decree, in respect of the services of each officer in the performance of work permitted by the Collector shall be as follows—

  Days Rate per hour or part thereof
  (i) Sunday and other public holidays R.50
A. (ii) Saturday—
  (a) 6 a.m. to 12 noon R.30
  (b) 12 noon onwards R.50
  (iii) Other days—
  (a) 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. R.30
  (b) 4 a.m. to 6 p.m. R.50
  (c) 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following day R.50
B. R.300 per ship in addition to the rates prescribed above.

3. Fees when payable and by whom

The fees shall be payable on demand by the agent or representative of the person or company requiring the service:Provided that the Collector of Customs may require payment on application.

4. Seychelles International Airport

These regulations do not apply in respect of work outside the prescribed working days and hours at Seychelles International Airport, for which no fee shall be chargeable.
